Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Funeral Home Assistant to join our team. You must be a team player. This role is vital in providing support during a sensitive time for families. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of empathy and professionalism, ensuring that all tasks are carried out with exactness, dignity and respect. The Funeral Home Assistant will assist in various duties related funeral services, office work, working with state computer program, answering phones, picking up deceased from place of passing, preparing loved ones for cremation. and contributing to a supportive environment for grieving families.
Duties
Help with heavy lifting associated with moving deceased and caskets
Provide assistance to families by answering questions and guiding them through the necessary processes during their time of loss.
Transportation of the deceased
Answering phones and office work. Learning the State computer system
Qualifications
Must have a valid drivers license and clean driving record
Previous experience in a similar role or within a healthcare or customer service environment is advantageous but not essential.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with grieving families.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings as required.
