Batesville is looking for a Tool Room Associate to join our team in Batesville, IN. As a Tool Room Associate you will be responsible to support operations with the upkeep and maintenance of the tooling machines, as well as build parts and equipment, weld tooling, gauges, fixtures and dies.

What you’ll do:
- Verify conformance of parts to detailed drawings and blueprints.
- Verify alignment and tolerances of moving parts.
- Test operation of assembly by hand.
- Assemble, sets up, and operate machine to verify functioning, machine capabilities, and conformance to customer's specifications.
- Support operations by designing and building parts, equipment, weld tooling, gauges, fixtures, etc.
- Troubleshoot and repair tooling, gauges, fixtures, etc.
- Work on progressive, large and form dies, and sharpen, repair and do PM’s on dies
- Communicate with management, engineers, technicians, and production personnel.
- Direct and/or participate in lean manufacturing projects for improvement in quality, cost and delivery.
- Sharpening of drill bits and other perishable tooling to support production needs.
- Responsible for inventory of perishable tooling.

Supervisory Responsibilities
- This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Basic Requirements:
- Highschool or GED
- 2 plus years of experience operating tooling machines
- Experience working on progressive, large and form dies and be able to sharpen and repair them
- Basic computer skills
- Blue print reading
- Furnish your own basic hand tools to accomplish the job
Great to Haves:
- Welding experience
- Proficiency with AutoCad
- Excellent understanding of machining processes and safety controls
- 5 plus years of technical experience or training
