Our Answering Service Agents act as virtual receptionists and switchboard operators, taking messages and connecting callers to their desired party on behalf of a wide range of clients. Our client types include doctor’s offices, medical clinics, HVAC companies, plumbing companies, apartment complexes, ambulance services, funeral homes, crisis lines, veterinary clinics, appliance repair companies, telephone companies, and many more. You would join a team of professionals capable of handling a wide range of challenging situations and who function as a team when difficult decisions are required. With advancement opportunities into QA, dispatching, and training roles, this position offers stability and growth for candidates looking for a long term career.
Excellent candidates for this position will be able to do the following:
- Handle customer calls, despite the degree of difficulty, in a courteous and business-like fashion
- Confirm accuracy of all contact information obtained
- Read and research client information to answer questions from callers and set correct expectations
- Contribute to decisions made as a team even while working independently
- Support our team values and augment our positive culture
- Process client requests and meet client demands in a fast paced environment
- Adapt and react positively to rapid changes based on client requests
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Maximize efficiency and quality at an individual level
- Adhere to Company attendance, punctuality, and meal and rest break requirements
Core Requirements:
- Type 40 wpm or better
- Solid ability to multitask
- Superb verbal and written communication skills
- Expert comprehension skills
- Comfortability and confidence with computers, browsers, using various apps, remote desktops; ability to troubleshoot technical issues
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Previous answering service, call center, or secretarial experience is preferred
