$28.00-$35.00 per hour

Position Summary & Responsibilities:
Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
Supports the management and operation of statewide Registered Apprenticeship programs
Promotes public awareness of program through presentations and meetings with employers, legislative committees, associations, Local Workforce Investment Boards, state agency staff and other interested groups.
Works directly with other Program Managers to cultivate strategies for the development of high wage opportunities for Kansans, by helping prioritize critical industries and occupations. Provides assistance in development of the Standards of Apprenticeship for training programs, including on-the-job training outlines, related technical instruction schedules and wage progression schedules that meets state and federal Registered Apprenticeship Guidelines as well as entry and management in the RAPIDS data tracking system
Directly liaises Kansas Department of Revenue, Kansas Department of Education, Kansas Department of Commerce staff and any other state agencies supporting the financial aspects of the Kansas Apprenticeship Tax Act and any other future funding options that will be provided through the Kansas Office of Apprenticeship or other departments
Directly supports the management and development of existing or future state and federal Registered Apprenticeship grants including work with named partners, designing grant programs, managing quarterly grant responses, optimizing the grant administration process, managing timelines and deliverables, preparing and monitoring budgets, and any other appropriate grant management process.
Coordinates activities with immediate staff members, Kansas Apprenticeship Council members, One-Stop partners, other agency programs, governmental agencies and institutions to facilitate the development of RA training programs.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: Licensing & Certification:
- At least 5 years of business engagement/sales experiences and have written, worked on or completed a state and/or federal grant.
- Workforce development experience, grant writing experience and/or governmental administration experience
- Public speaking and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates and/or College degree
- Knowledge of the Registered Apprenticeship system or an ability to gain the knowledge completely and quickly
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
